10 Reasons Why You Should Be Using SNAPTOGGLES

TOGGLER SnaptoggleThe TOGGLER SNAPTOGGLE® is in fact arguably the best heavy duty plasterboard fixing on the market today; with its simplicity and speed of installation, massive range of applications and fully tested, huge 'tensile pull out' and 'shear' strength. It is the ultimate answer to some of the most awkward and demanding tasks that professionals face when fixing to hollow materials such as cavity walls and ceilings.

Everyone needs a box of these to hand on the job and here's 10 reasons why:

1. Speed

THEY'RE INCREDIBLY FAST TO INSTALL.

SNAPTOGGLE INSTALL

So fast in fact, they can go from the box to being properly installed in plasterboard and ready to accept fixings in just seconds!

2. Simplicity

ONE OF THE EASIEST TO USE HEAVY DUTY PLASTERBOARD FIXINGS ON THE MARKET.

SNAPTOGGLE Installation

To install a BM6 Snaptoggle anchor into 12.5mm Plasterboard:

- Simply fold the metal channel flat with the straps and insert into a pre-drilled 13mm hole.
- Level up the channel by pulling the straps towards you,
- Zip the cap along the straps until flush with the wall,
- Then, simply snap off the excess straps.
- You’re now ready for the bolt to be inserted!

NO special application tools needed and NO fuss. Just simple, quick and strong.

3. Strength

THEY HAVE EXCEPTIONALLY STRONG TENSILE AND SHEAR STRENGTH

TOGGLER SNAPTOGGLE Holding Value

With fully tested Ultimate Working Loads (UWL) of 120kg Tensile and UWL of 109kg Shear, the Snaptoggle anchor really is one of the strongest Cavity Wall and Heavy Duty Plasterboard Fixings on the market today.

Industry safety standards recommend ¼ of the UWL as your safe working load. For more information please see our Technical Specification Sheet.

4. Problem Solver

ANOTHER FIXING MADE A MESS OF YOUR WALL? NOW HOW ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THE FIXTURE BACK ON TO THE WALL?

USE A SNAPTOGGLE, OF COURSE.

Metal self-drilling type anchors are notorious for spinning if over tightened, working loose after use in fixtures such as grab rails and coming out with the screw when having to remove a fixture. First of all, you should have used a TOGGLER SnapSkru! But if you’re left with a hole in the wall and you need to fix the fixture back into the same place, instead of having to repair the plasterboard or fix a wooden baton in place, just drill the hole out to 13mm and insert a TOGGLER Snaptoggle! Job done. And next time you can take out the bolt and then re-apply into the same fixing with no hassle.

5. Versatile

12.5MM PLASTERBOARD? 15MM PLASTERBOARD? DOUBLE THICKNESS PLASTERBOARD? HOLLOW CONCRETE BLOCK? NO PROBLEM.

The TOGGLER Snaptoggle Anchor is extremely versatile – offering a secure fixing in any thickness of wall up to 92mm! Plus, the TOGGLER Snaptoggle Anchor only needs 48mm of clearance behind the plasterboard to be installed!

6.  Truly Secure

RESIST VIBRATION, SHOCK, AND CORROSION.

The Snaptoggle's zinc plated 1010 cold rolled steel channel (or 300 series stainless steel available) matched with high-impact polystyrene straps and a translucent polypropylene co-polymer cap is no match for corrosion and resists both vibration and shock to offer a truly secure heavy duty plasterboard fixing, that you can trust.

7. Re-Useable

REMOVE THE BOLT, NOT YOUR FIXING – RE-USEABLE IN THE SAME HOLE!

Spring toggle anchors can be a pain when it comes to removing your fixing, as the anchor will fall straight into the cavity as soon as the bolt is removed, leaving you with a gaping hole in your wall or needing a new fixing when it comes to putting your fixture back on to the wall. TOGGLER Snaptoggle anchors on the other hand, stay suspended in the wall even when you remove the bolts – meaning that you can re-apply into the same fixing, with the same bolt!

8. Will Not Spin

TOGGLER SNAPTOGGLE ANCHORS WILL NOT SPIN - even when using a cordless drill!

Use a cordless drill to install the bolt without the fear of the anchor spinning. The long flat metal channel stays firmly in place and won’t bite into the back of the plasterboard when tightened.

9. One-Man Job

TURN A DIFFICULT INSTALLATION INTO A ONE MAN OPERATION - PRE-INSTALL SNAPTOGGLE - WITHOUT THE BOLT.

The only job provided by the bolt, is holding power. The plastic straps and cap offer a positioning and retention element to the anchor, meaning that TOGGLER Snaptoggle anchors are already pre-installed into the plasterboard even before the bolt is inserted to finish off the application. Difficult to handle fixtures are made much easier, with the confidence that your fixing is already securely in place.

10. Small Hole

SMALLER HOLE = GREATER HOLDING POWER

13mm vs 19mm_2

The bigger the hole, the weaker the surrounding plasterboard becomes. Which is why TOGGLER BM5 & BM6 Snaptoggle anchors install through just a 13mm hole and BM8 & BM10 install through just a 19mm hole!

In comparison an ordinary 6mm spring toggle plasterboard fixing with a 20kg tensile working load needs a 19mm hole to be properly installed in 12.5mm plasterboard. With a TOGGLER Snaptoggle Heavy Duty Plasterboard Fixings you only need to drill a 13mm hole (6mm smaller!) to install, whilst it offers up to 6 times greater holding power with an UWL of 120kg!
